Farm Pet Question

First off, sorry for being so inactive recently, work and life happened haha. But for anyone that's seen me in game, I've mostly been farming and talking about my struggles of acquiring the mythical Groot whenever I am chatting. That being said, for those of you lucky ones who have gotten the farm pet, what XP did you get it at and what were you primarily farming? I'm just curious about the numbers and I'm sure this will make me feel worse about my luck

Welcome back to osrs advice and runescape lol I thought id just say hi although I don't really do farming yet or have the pet but good luck and hope you get it!

I'm 25m farming and I do crystal trees/giant seaweed and mahogany trees as well as some herb runs and still no luck, good luck to you!

I'm 99 farming as well without Groot. I don't have nearly as much experience as you guys, so I'm not complaining one bit yet =p. I'm assuming you are doing giant seaweed runs for the pet chance, Skillus? If so, how many have you farmed so far?

14.5m exp, started doing seaweeds right after 99 aswell & also w/o one.

I did Cactus, Magic Trees, Palm Trees, Calquat, Watermelons and Herb runs...Got it at 42M Exp

I'm currently at 48M XP. I'm doing everything mentioned above. I used to be very on top of my seaweed runs, doing about 6-7 runs a day, but now I get maybe 2-3 with my herb runs. But in total I've probably harvested well over 1.5k seaweed spores. I know it'll come one day (I hope), just hopefully sooner than later haha.

I honestly had no idea you were still going for groot. You're already maxed so I'd imagine your priorities are pretty different to mine, but 48m Farming xp sounds miserable. I sincerely hope your suffering ends soon.

On a happier note, good to see you again Skillius I assumed you'd completely succumbed to post-max burnout. You think you might be hanging around more in the future, or are you mostly just doing your dailies? Work and IRL stuff permitting of course

I'm at 15.3m farming xp and still doing herb runs, hardwoods, and giant seaweed. I've kinda given up on grinding for it (i.e. trees + fruit trees), but I'm just banking on getting it at some time during my contracts/herb runs. Good luck skillius!

So, my GGH (Gruesome Groot Hunt) took me all the way to 2x the experience needed for 99 (106 virtual level).

From 99-106 I was pretty much farming everything I could off of cooldown (when the timer let me harvest and replant), here's the full list:
- Redwood and Mahogany for Hardwoods
- Palm and Calquat for Fruits
- Celastrus, Hespori and Crystal for Special
- Magic Trees (only when I'd acquired the coconuts from Palm trees to use as payment)
- Al Kharid Cactus, Draynor Belladonna, Salve Graveyard Mushrooms, Giant Seaweed
- Constant Toadflax and either Ranarr or Snapdragon in the protected patches (made a lot of money from farming so many herbs which was nice!)

Ellipsism and I are convinced Groot isn't real, and I think everyone who has one was just given it my jagex to keep quiet about the conspiracy. Sorry about outing you as a covert jagex agent mitch :-(
